In fact, being in the vicinity of brother Oakley this weekend has been adviseable for anyone wishing to participate in his unique brand of insanity, as those who witnessed the Purple Helmets Display Team in action yesterday will testify to.

I have never seen anything so funny as Oakley appearing through a cloud of prematurely discharged smoke and hurtling down the length of Hengate trailing Greg and the occasional puff of blue smoke, straight through the red light, to the cheers and clapping of the raggle taggle session crowd who had assembled on the pavement to witness the event. The man is truly insane.

I read elsewhere that September's display is already in it's planning stages, and is going to be something quite spectacular, so anyone wishing to view the now world famous Purple Helmets Display Team needs to be at my next Nellies Session, which takes place from 2pm on Sunday 1st September.
