There was once a little girl who would never say "Please"
I believe if you even went down on your knees.
She would sit at the table, taking her ease,
And speak to her mother in words such as these;
"Pass me the butter! Give me the cheese!
Get me some water! I want some peas!"
One day a wise fairy, that bad girl to tease,
Blew her away in a powerful breeze,
Down with the wasps and the ants and the bees -
And there she must stay, till she learns to say "Please"
