Bhagavan appears to Arjuna as Lord Krishna......but the story is still the same. Bagger Vance is a believable name for a pro caddy. I dunno' what you'd do with Krishna.   If you get balled up in any kind of perfectionistic exactitude, you miss the beauty of the tale and the obvious take-off from the Gita.
