How/why do we end up with this kind of people in public service/politics? Is it the nature of the beast or does the beast corrupt? I can't even imagine behaving the way some of these people do......Power corrupts and Absolute Power corrupts absolutey? Or are they drawn to politics because they are already corrupted? I am pretty confused about this. Obviously, Public Service no longer means public service.

John Kennedy was revered when he was President, then it came out about the "other stuff", way back to "Honey Fitz" and John's arranged marriage to Jackie plus all the stuff about the Kennedy/Fitzgerald families and how fake the public image really was. I just don't get it.

Are there ANY honest, forthright politicos out there at all? Who?
