I bought a birdseye maple dreadnought that was built by Grand Ole Opry member Hank Locklin (of "Please Help Me I'm Falling" fame) for $300.00 a few years ago. It sounds great, but Hank apparently experimented with the neck width and it's just too narrow for my big ole hands. I recently passed it on to a friend for the same $300.00 I paid.BTW: A fellow that has come to a couple of our sessions used to play steel guitar in Hank's band, and Hank gave him a Brazilian rosewood Grammer guitar with the most beautiful bearclaw top I have ever seen. Sounds wonderful.
