Thread Name: Tech: what time is it by you?
Subject: RE: Help: what time is it by you?
I noticed a few days--or was it nights?--ago that a post of mine was in the future, and I decided to get out my crystal ball to figure it out. I saw in my deep trance, that it was a time warp brought about in the mudcat realm by all the cussin--oops! I mean DIScussion about Cpt. James Tiberius Kirk. I heard that Cp'n Kirk was kinda peeved about the last tirade against him, so he . . . Cp'n: YO, Scotty! Sco: Aye, Cp'n? Cp'n: Uh, Scotty, I think those #$%*&^+@!! backward mudcatters from the past are badmouthing me again! Sco: Bbbut, Cp'n, they wouldna darrre insult th' Cp'n of the finest ship in the fleet! Cp''n: Well, they are! I just had U'Hura play back some of the insulting banter, and . ..NEVRMIND! Just do something to screw with their minds! Sco: But Cp'n, the warrrp engine's 'rrr still rrrreelin' from the last jaunt throae that black hole where the borrrg just aboot di' us all in! I don' have the powerrr! Cp'n: Just do it mister! Sco: (sigh!)Aye, Cp'n. I'll see what I kin dae. Spk: Mr. Scott, I have endeavored to assist you with your calculations, and I see that you have made an error in your stardate computations. Please note that it is now 11:0000000000033444444445555556999999999993333333333 hours, and not 11:0000000000033444444445555556999999999993333333339! Bones: Da***t, Jim, you're a Starfleet Cp'n, not a 21st century politician! (see politician thread) Why don't you leave the past alone and just fly through space-- we've got enough troubles with that pointy eared, green blooded, walking computer telling us all exactly what time it is right now! Cpn: That's it! We'll screw up their clock! Then they'll be too confused to continue saying bad things about my tou--uh, wavy hair, and my pot bell--uh, my fine manly physique! That'll teach 'em to call us "a wagon train to stars!" "I'll show 'em some Cowboy diplomacy, to h*ll with 'em!!" . . .long ago, in the same galaxy, . . .at a place in cyberspace called the Mudcat Cafe, far, far, away--uh, timewise, that is . . .
