I use QuickTime for midi files. It's a free download, and you can find the sownload sites by searching for QuickTime on Google or a similar search engine. By installing it you are probably going to automatically change priority for midi files to QuickTime, but if not, follow Ivan's suggestion above. It's easy to save midi files from QT.
