Ahhh, High school reunions. I discovered (through the 'net') that one of the schools I was expelled from (MacDonald High, in Montreal) was having a reunion a couple of years ago. Part of me wanted to go, and part of me started to recall the pain that I endured when I was there the first time. A lot of us folkies were nurds and worse, during those formative years, and although it may be very cool to be different now....it wasn't back then (I'm 56 now)I asked for Mudcatters' advice and was rewarded with a highly entertaining thread full of opinions (I'd pull it up if I remembered the title) but the bottom line was that if I'd gone, I'd probably have been just as shy with those people as I was when I left....not to mention, downright hostile.
I can picture nervously standing in the decorated auditorium while everyone else danced (just as they did back then) and then finding Charlie B******, now probably a large bald bully CEO of something. Wanting to punch someone in the jaw is the wrong motivation for going to a reunion!
Glad you showed 'em Kendall!
Cheers
Rick
