Mention of high fructose corn syrup reminds me that in other countries they often use real sugar beause they do not have to subsidize the corn growers.Having had the chance to drink drinks sweetened with sugar and HFCS soon after each other, it is no contest. To me, the sugar (sucrose) tastes better than the HFCS. Another reason the bottlers use HFCS is that it is cheaper than sugar, so they get more bang for the buck.
