Whoops, I pressed return before I'd typed a message!Anyway, I'm looking for lyrics for a song with the above name. A work colleague who knows I'm into traditional music has been asking me if I know this song which her grandfather used to sing apparently. I think it's probably from the music hall tradition and the fragment which she remembers is:
Scotland, Scotland, scotland ae sae braw,
Hmmm, moving stuff, eh?
My heart is ae in Scotland though I'm so far awa'
Take me back amongst the wild woods,
Take me back amongst the glades,
Take me back amongst my ain folk,
That's aye sae dear tae me.
Does anyone recognise it and know the rest? Thanks,
Griff
