DA, I don't know how far your relationship has gone. My friend and I were discussing this thread and she pointed out that if [and only if] the relationship has progressed to the point where you are both looking at commitment, a good symbolic gift would be a toothbrush in whichever bathroom you use most, so that the guest does not have to bring his/her own.
