Hi, Charley. I emailed this info to you, but I'll post most of it here, for the benefit of other interested parties.

"Rebecca's" is the living room of Rebecca, who will begin hosting the Portland Folklore Society song circle on Monday evenings (7:30 to about 10:30PM) again after Labor Day. I think the PFS website has her address, but I can email or PM it to anyone interested.

I am not sure about the 3rd Friday Coffeehouse unless it's the one sponsored by PFS. I will call Moggy and Henry to find out more details.

There is a Friday night song circle/jam at Friendly House Neighborhood Center once a month, and I think it's on the 3rd Friday. Let me check that out, too.

"Yola's" is Yola's Foster Road Coffeehouse, on the SE corner of 65th and SE Foster Road (503-774-4516). Since last summer, a few of us diehard pickers and singers have been congregating there to pick and sing. Very informal. Sometimes we've had five or six of us there, sometimes it's just two or three. I think when you do the jam every week, folks may make less of a commitment to being there each time. (Kinda like with Artichoke, which is much more established as a folk music venue -- sometimes we have 25 people, sometimes about 6 or 7.* But Yola's has only been open about 18 months. )
Yola's has a lot of room and is a comfortable atmosphere. If you want a brew, there's a pub 2 doors down, and both places have outdoor chairs. The Portland monsoon season seldom starts before October, so outside singing may well be an option, too.
If you think you can make it to Yola's on Sunday the 22nd, I will put special effort into getting the word out and gathering the various Yola's jammers together (plus a few others) for that date. Also, if your chantey singer buds are looking for a place to hold a maritime session, there's plenty of room for that at Yola's. (You can get food both at Yola's and at the pub.)
