Subject: RE: Help: Printing off threads??
If you're just printing a single piece of a thread (or any web page) highlighting and then using "Print - Selection" is the simplest.

I usually assemble a few selections by copying and pasting into Word so I can print them all at once - or abide by the rule that anything worth printing should be printed to a file (i.e. saved) nstead of wasting paper.

You can highlight (select) pieces of almost anything on the web, by clicking and dragging over it - or by clicking once to set a "starting point" and holding down the shift key while you click an "end point," then Control-C or whatever "copy" method you use.

If you just "Paste" into your word processor you'll sometimes get a bunch of mangled html, but if you chose (in Word at least) "Edit - Paste Special - Unformatted Text" all the junk disappears. [In Word97 that's "Alt-E, S, DownArrow, Enter. In Word 2000 & later you probably need an UParrow in place of the DownArrow.]

In Word, if you do paste a bunch of trash you can highlight and use "Control-Shift-F9" to "unlink" most of it, although this may convert a few "frames" to "tables" that you'll still need to delete.
