Subject: RE: Anybody doing Donovan these days?
I particularly liked his "Ballad of Geraldine" which is very much in the "Rosemary Lane" young maiden led astray tradition. He was always a good guitarist and a pleasant singer. I agree with McGrath that he should not have been linked to Dylan. He was a very diffrent animal. I found Donovan a bit twee at times but he was - probably still is - a good solo entertainer and he made some likeable pop records.
