Hitler was a homicidal maniac who had a world view, the backing of most of the powerful people in one of the most powerful countries in Europe, and a massive military machine at his command. Hussein is a petty tyrant in a second-rate country where a lot of people hate him, and his military is a rag-tag, ill-equipped rabble. One of the parallels with Nazi Germany that really bothers me is how they systematically eroded the rights of their own citizens by invoking visions of outside threats, then accused those who questioned this of lack of patriotism.
