Thread Name: Dubliner's thrashers?
Subject: RE: Dubliner's thrashers?
Nonono, Kieran: wee agree. Dubliners rule, maaan. Mee, I'm an oul' Clancified fossilized throwback from waaayback. Dylan and Clancy, maaan: until the break of day, let me see ya Makem smile. / But I think we can appreciate The Shambles's (and otherses's) gently-expressed ennui from catering to us repeatedly, repetitiously, redundantly, and also over and over again. *They* don't have to like what *we've* got to say, or gotta sing, neither. (Though I think they still sometimes *do* like it, secretly & shamefacedly. They just get sick of it, y'see.) Plus, dat's a damn funny Reformed Wild Rover satire up there. T.S. said it was "with love and affection to and for all parties." I'm fer the All-Parties Coalition. Party on, maaaan. / But saaay, Kieran the bbp: isn't yer name sort-of redundantly repetitious, there? :)
