Second generation Hippies are around in great numbers. They have listened to what their parents found to be important, related it to the state of the planet today, and adopted and adapted the music. Proper folk music grows and changes with every person who hears and performs it, as well as the countries it is taken to. Look at "When I was on Horseback" My youngest son performs folk along with his own stuff and a smattering of the Beatles, and it goes down a storm. Mid- Wales is a place where "alternative" families can live a self-sufficient lifestyle, and their children absorb the music along with the culture.
