Hm, natives here proudly call our part of PA "Pennsyltucky." Local people pronounce things quite particularly here, especially about names, and often very unlike my Chicago-trained ears expect.Nina is not Neenah, it's Nye-nah. Covington is not Cuh-vington, it's Cah-vington. But Lycoming County is not LYE-cumming, it's Ly-COE-ming. Bodine is not Buh-deen, but usually Boe-DYNE and sometimes BOE-dyne. The Youmans family are sometimes YOE-muns, and sometimes YEW-mans. Us, we're Hin-t'ns to farm folk and Hinn-tun to town folk.
