In posting in the current version of the Mudcat, you cannot get a line break (single) without adding the letter "br" enclosed between left and right carets ("<" and ">") in order to inform web browsers that they must display a line break at that point.

This is not much work, even for the elderly among us -- for example, search on Catspaw49 as User under "Advanced Forum Search" and you will find thousands of posts he wrote this way. Jayne, however, finds it inconvenient.
