I once got asked to play at a large caravan park near Thirsk in the U.K. Had a great night, everyone's relaxed and in the holiday mood. There was a broad cross section of people and musical tastes to accomodate but at least I didn't get asked if I could play "Bohemian Rhapsody" on my 6-string!
And yes, make sure you're indoors first.
