I had a small dog once who used to like to lie as close as possible to the pedals of our organ. (Made life difficult) Another dog - border collie - liked to stand with the small hairs of his upper 'lip' only just touching the sound-box-bit (whatever that's called) of a concert harp. He'd stand as still as stone ... I never got the impression he actually enjoyed it; he seemed puzzled more than anything.
