Propeller head folkies who use T_EX or L^AT_EX may also be interested in Chris Walshaw's program abc2mtex that converts ABC input to MusicTeX format for inclusion in a L^AT_EX source file. This was Walshaw's original publishing method.

I don't think there have been any recent enhancements to abc2mtex but if someone wants to publish a book and include music notation, this is a powerful capability.
