As to the soapy taste, I never noticed it as such, until the poplular halfwit, our mudcat brother in Wiltshire came to the US and tried it... that was his decription, and I think it is the softness that made him use that term, so I understand what he means, though to me, it is not soapy it is soft... kinda... but I can understand if you never tasted anything like it how it could seem to taste soapy...
