Hi Big Tim, Yes the group was called the Emmetones (I can't remember the correct spelling, Bobby Campbell, Hamish Imlach and Josh.I think they recorded Johnson's Motor car, Boulovouge, Bold Fenian Men and one other. It was an EP which I also have lost!! Morris Blythman, who wrote the Breakaway, thought that he could unite Scotland by using 'Orange' tunes to republican sentiments, hence the reason your father walked out as I don't think that strategy worked! The Reivers was a group helped along by the late Mp Norman Buchan who managed to get them on the telly (late 50s?)and the girl in the group was called ...something Swan? her sister married Jimmy Reid of Upper Clydside fame.
