oh, no, Greg!..I re-compact the 'shavings' and turn them into cheap little holes for kids to play with in sand boxes...they don't last long..but kids toys never do!

And as to storage...since with a lathe, I can make any size (different than pushing them thru a pipe)...I can store many--each slightly smaller-- inside each other!...Why, I have managed up to 23 sizes inside one 11" hole!
