I don't like it either. The connotations are that the woman is standing there with all the comforts of home arranged: a hot bath, a drink, a hot meal, some congratulatory or soothing words etc etc

If that's the only way a man can appreciate a woman, well...sorry, we're too busy getting a life of our own.

(Note: I'm not feeling mad, or mean about this - just in the mood to discuss it from an objective standpoint)
