Dehydrated alcohol is alive and well and living in your nearest Scientific lab, it is called absolute ethanol and is 100% pure Alcohol,it can be used to dehydrate(remove water from) biological specimens there are a few drawbacks to it tho', 1 It is about 200+ proof!!! 2 it coulld very easily (if drunk neat) induce vomiting(antagonistic action on gut), and the rapid onset of alcholic poisoning (causing rapid unconciousness and death) 3 it is more expensive than 12yo Single malt whiskey ( about 63 GBP/litre 4 it may contain small amounts of Benzene( toxic ,attacks the liver)
