Similar to Walrus, 2nd Mate sending the "boy" to the Engine room for a set of "Footprints", boy answered back (having been recently caught out by the "long stand" joke, was suitable chastened to discover that "Footprints" are a brand of very large adjustable jaw Stilson type wrenchs with long handles, for undoing reluctant nuts and bolts!!!!
