Hello everybody. It's good to be able to write to this thread and interact with everybody here. I have already introduced myself and told you I was a new member, but now I'm going to go a step further. I'm wondering if there are any people on Mudcat who live here in the actual Seattle area. I'd love to interact and correspond with you guys in order to begin learning about places to go listen to folk music or perhaps gatherings related to music where I can either take part in or just go and enjoy.

Like I said, I have just moved to the Seattle area a little over two months ago and totally feel like a stranger to the town. Perhaps through Mudcat, I can meet folks around the Seattle with common musical interests.

Of course, I am not limiting correspondence here on Mudcat to people from the Seattle area only. I'd love to hear from anyone. Like I said, I am also learning to play the guitar, and I would definitely enjoy corresponding with other guitar players (advanced or beginners) and share knowledge and ideas and music.

Well, I look forward to hearing from folks and interacting with the forums and people who write to them. I was reading some of the threads and found I can actually relate or understand how some folks feel on some of those threads. Take care, and I'll talk to all of you very soon. Jim
