Mrs. Duck, that's how I remember this dish! I stayed in England for 3 months 20 years ago, sometimes with friends, other times in B&B's or youth hostels. I think that a week did not go by when I did not have the dish- usually served with bacon and/or eggs. I also remember that the dish was almost always cold by the time it came to the table!
