Subject: RE: BS: Frying pan into the fire................
I was going through a slump a couple of years ago - feeling fat and that I had no energy. My friend at work kept saying - join a gym and get some excercise! Well, I'd joined a gym a couple of times and felt like an idiot. The aerobics class I took was way out of my league - I was falling down from exhaustion and everybody else was after the instructor to speed up the music. It was awful. But my friend persuaded me and actually went with me three mornings a week to work out and show me how to use the equipment. Then I joined (for a very modest fee) a group that met three mornings a week and worked out - cardio and weights. That got me in the habit and I started to enjoy it - not to mention I felt better. About a year later I invested in ten sessions of personal training - well worth it. Excercise lifted my spirits and toned me up and it was the best thing I ever did. And if I can do it anybody can. I was in such bad shape when I first started that once I was lifting something and whining about how heavy it was and I couldn't do it. "How much weight have you put on that bar?" I demanded. "Nothing" said my friend. "That's just the bar with no weights on it!". Chart your progress and that makes it more interesting. You'll be delighed at seeing yourself get stronger and more toned.
