Morris dancing is one of Englands chariteristic folk dances. It comprises a of a variety of forms of traditional ritual dances from England, and though well known during Wulliam Shakespeares time, the industrial revolution lessened the dances popularity.
By the turn of the century , the Morris dance was only practised by a dwindling number of pensioners in the less sophisticated villages of the English Midlands.
But The Green ginger Morris Men are promising to help revujanate thethe traditiomal ritual with the series of performances this weekend.
