GENEVA -- A United Nations commttee rejected a Frenchman's appeal of a ban on dwarf tossing on the grounds that it violated his human rights.
The U.N. Human Rights Committee backed the French government contenton that the law against dwarf tossing was necessary to protect human dignity. Manuel Wackenheim -- a 3-foot-10-inch stuntman known as "Mr. Skyman" who made his living being tossed -- said the real basis of human dignity was being able to work.
