For my money, Michael Cooney (in Friendship, Maine) does the absolute greatest version of Leadbelly's "FANNIN STREET" (sometimes called "Cry For Me") that this old folkie has ever heard. It's second only to de man himself. My friend Michael tells me I'm way off base in that assessment, but I'll stand by it.
