Ian: I had the same thought about No 15. It seems to be suggesting "I wish I were single" but then goes on to mention the rich man & the poor man. This does not have to be Dives & Lazarus, it may refer to the different state of a single man.
"When I was single my pockets would jingle,
I wish I were single again"
Obviously equating being single with having more pocket money
