Speaking of details, I noticed that when my children were in kindergarten they delighted in memorizing details that would bore me to tears. At Thanksgiving time they memorized all about the Pilgrims and the names of their ships and how big the ships were, etc. I also noticed young children's facination with the names and details about various dinosaurs...very boring to me.
