Thanks all for words of succor and wisdom. I have a disk warrior, just can't get the damn thing to fight on my behalf. I'll look again and see if anything is possible but had to do the paperclip trick on my imac to get it going again so am assuming I'm SOL....

My first thought was...enough with the Zip already! It looks like when I gather the pennies together I'm headed for a CD burner. In the meantime if there's anything LEFT on the Zip disk I think I'll have it transferred by somebody to a CD.

Played my guitar on the porch for an hour, with the fountain in the fish pond burbling away and hummingbirds zipping about and decided...how important is all that lost information, really. anyway?
