That's excellent, Willa - I agree with what the Guardian says except I don't remember pink suits - sky blue seemed to be the colour to go for. And although the suits were all similar, everyone wanted something different, three vents, a half-belt at the back, turn-ups on the jacket sleeves. This would be late 50s, when I was 'nobbut a bain'.
