Calontir is a 'Kingdom' inside the Society For Creative Anachronism

It is comprised of lands hithertofor known as Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Northern Arkansas. The S.C.A.has carved up the world into smaller Cantons, Baronies, and Kingdoms as an organizational necessity and to give ourselves someone to go to war with. War in the society is an enjoyable affair with rattan swords, full armor, heraldry and everyone getting up from the field at the end of the day for an evening of campfires, drinking, dancing and singing.
