OK, after a search on Google,found Catfish John on 2 Old and In the Way CDs "Breakdown" (hidden track not listed) and "High Lonesome Sound". Also on Jerry Garcia Band "Reflections".

Only Johnny Russell listings that I could find were that he had a hit with it in '72. All sources attribute the writing to McDill and Reynolds.
