Alice, Lane -- everyone -- Rainy Camp, I've been told by the authoritative
sources, is always the first full weekend (Fri. eve thru Sun. afternoon)
in February.  Since Feb. 1 is on Saturday in 2003, this means RC
will be the weekend of Feb. 7-9.  It's in Carnation, WA,
as usual.  Go to the Seattle Song Circle's website for details, and
one or another of us will post a notice here at Mudcat a little closer
to the end of this year.  (Also, look for "Rainycamp" threads in the
forum for more info on past years and general specs.)

Yeah, Jen,  a real coffee grinder sure beats trying to "grind"
the coffee inside a double baggie with a hammer.  Those beans are
harder than they look!  (I think I'll pre-grind the coffee, just to
be on the safe side.)  Sorry we'll miss you.  (Watching the Perseids
in Ellensburg next summer, maybe?)

Last night we passed the word and passed out flyers (again) at the Portland
Folklore Society's Second Saturday Song Circle.  Dunno if we got any
new recruits, but there's certainly interest in next year's Sunnycamp --
if you don't do it on the 1st Saturday in Oct.  (which conflicts with
Silver Falls gathering or something like that).
