Rex, so glad to hear your district is keeping music in the elementary grades. HATS OFF TO ALL YOUR EFFORTS, say in their face. It's really a bummer the way we have to fight to stay. I've been there, especially when we will have to raise taxes to keep what we have. We are getting a new principal next year and I am on the interviewing committee. Today we interviewed 4 canidates. I have no idea how they feel about elementary music. We had a set of questions we could ask and none of them mentioned music, art, or out-door ed, all of which are, right now, important parts of our curricluim. Reading and math were the only subjects talked about. Really makes me wonder what we will be getting to head the school. I do have to say it can't be any worse than what we have now.
