I've lost count of how many times I've seen two or more threads about the same thing seem appear almost simultaneously. Obviously they could be prompted by a topical event. If they are started by people from the same area, they could also be the result of a particular performance. In most of these cases, though, the threads are started by different people who are geographically separated - often by oceans, and about subjects which are not specially topical.

Of course people should really search the forum (and if suitable the DT), before they start a thread - especially for things like obituaries or music/lyrics requests, but I still think that it's uncanny that so many cases crop up.
