Up above, someone said 'Don't be afraid to laugh.' It is a sign of health to know you are returning to a normal perspective and can relax a bit.
In addition, don't be embarassed to ask for a shoulder for yourself. Consider that, even though you are 600 miles away, your sister called you. Even with whatever distance that implies, there is still a relationship there.
