Punch the Horse has had a lot of trouble getting off the ground. It seems that their latest incarnation as Punch the Horse has made them more appealing. The problem before must have come from the names they used.

At first they were known as Explode the Marmoset and this met with no response, principally I would think because no one had any idea what a marmoset was. Adding a new member they then opted for Assfuck the Zebra. Although somewhat better, this made for some confusion with another group, Screw the Pooch. They were however encouraged and figured the equine style might be a fit so they then changed the name to Grope the Mule. At this point they then began to pick up a following, a weird following, but a following nonetheless! The fact that mules are asexual turned out to be a problem as they also acquired fans who were cross-dressing, transexual, sado-masochists, with a passion for riding unicycles. In one final stab at fame they became Punch the Horse and embarked on their current illustrious career of being booked at non-existent venues and not being booked at the real places...except of course in Katmandu where they are scheduled to play deep up the asshole of a Yak which I am told has excellent acoustics, although seating is limited.
