Quite right, Reggie, although you do sound like a dog with a cleft palate. <g> I knew I was being overly pedantic and, in fact, I don't reaally care which configuration people use to refer to the music. The other uses, however, aren't the result of popular culture or any folk process. Kentucky is the Blue Grass state, not the bluegrass state. If I want to seed my lawn, I'll buy Marion blue grass... well, I might buy a little tall fescue as well. And of course Monroe's band was called the Blue Grass Boys after his home state.
