It would seem that one of the reasons that Punch the Horse remains a bit of an enigma to, at least, American Mudcatters is that so few of us on the Western side of the Atlantic have actually seen the band. Sure, they have a CD, but live performance is where you see whether a band can really cut the mustard. It is obvious that what is needed is for a qualified American Mudcatter to make the trip to Hull, see and hear Punch the Horse perform, and report back to Mudcat membership at-large.

In the spirit of true community, I hereby volunteer to take on this arduous mission. All that the rest of you folks need to do is come up with the money, because I'm broker than Enron and Worldcom put together. Just create a special "Send the Smart-Assed Prick Yank Bastard to Hull" fund to pay for transportation and other expenses, and donate generously.

The only stipulation I make is that I would prefer not to attend the scheduled concert which is to take place, I believe, somewhere deep inside the ass-hole of a yak. It sounds like a venue that would be a little too rich for my taste.
