Thread Name: Lyr Add: Streets of London parody
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: Streets of London parody
Reminds me of a gig where I was singing "Leezie Lindsey" - where the suitor announces that he is "Lord Ronald MacDonald, a chieftain of high degree." The image Ronald MacDonald the clown with his big shoes and red hair sprang to mind and I started giggling. (I usually substitute something like "I am the young lord MacDonald" I then led the audience in the parody we used to sing to the MacDonald's jingle:
MacDonald's is your kind of place
Hamburgers in your face
Cheeseburgers up your nose
French fries between your toes
And don't forget those great thick shakes
Come from polluted lakes
MacDonald's is your kind of place"
Yeah, it's pretty dumb !
