4. Favorite authors/ type of book? I love old used book stores where I hunt for old song books ranging from folk music to shanties to 20s and 30s Novelty tunes for the Ukulele, etc. . My favorite fiction is urban fantasy/fairy. This includes books by Charles De Lint, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Brooks, Tom Dietz, etc.
5. What books have you really been wanting? The second and third Cliff Edwards Ukulele Song Books (I have the first one). The New Novelty Songbook (42 songs). The Space Child's Mother Goose (very expensive used, but they just came out with a reissue). Wordwright: the 3rd book in Tom Dietz's Soulsmith Trilogy . Picking the Ballad's Bones, the 2nd book in Elisabeth Scarborough's Songkiller Saga., Stuff like that.
6. What type of music do you like? Early Hot Jazz and novelty music from Cliff Edwards, Annette Hanshaw, Helen Kane, George Olsen, Frank Crumit, Spike Jones, Johnny Marvin, etc… String and Jug Bands (Highwoods String Band, Red Clay Ramblers, Georgia Yellow Hammers, Five Harmaniacs, Dave Van Ronk, Mound City Blue Blowers, McKinney's Cotton Pickers, Hokum Boys, Dallas String Band, R Crumb and his Cheap Suit Serenaders, Jim Kweskin, Memphis Jug Band, etc.), Early pre doowop vocal groups like the Mills Brothers, State Street Swingers, 5 Red Caps). Other than that I like really anything with singing in it.
7. What cds have you really been wanting? The new Mudcat compilation if it is ready in time. Amos thread says there will be several but the first one is ok. I have really been looking for the 2 Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band CD's (They are from Oz). The Highwoods String Band reissue. The Red Mountain White Trash CD. Red Clay Ramblers too. I just ruined my Double Decker String Band Chasin' Rainbows CD. I have really been looking for the 2 Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band CD's (They are from Oz).

9. What is your t-shirt size? Sad to say, it is XL.
10. Do you collect anything? if so, what? Yes, old song books and books on folk lore and folk tales. Someday, I will start storytelling.
11. What are some of your other hobbies? I'm active in Scouts: Matt's Boy Scout Troop, and Ryan's Cub Scout Pack. Last summer, I started liking fishing, but am not good at it yet. Surfing the web.

13. Please include anything else you feel is important that would help your secret Santa know what you would like. I've been looking for a cheap fountain pen, since I can't stand to use ballpoints anymore. I would love anything that has been created by my Santa. Do a search on stuff I have posted.
