I would check first with Lowden before using mediums. I did my guitar no favours by using bluegrass 13/58 D'Acquistos on it. Sounded good though.

Lowdens started life (and may stil be that way) with a different type of top bracing to most other good acoustics and the early ones had a reputation for fragility.
